Village Show Success

The Old Basing Village Show took place on Sunday 9th September on a beautiful sunny day at Old Basing Village Hall.  Jeff Owen, Chairman of the Village Show Committee, said that he was very pleased that this years show attracted 26 or so more entries than last year, and that the number of visitors to the show had also increased.  It would be interesting to know who many peopled entered the show for the first time.

Our local MP, Maria Miller, was there to present the many cups and awards that the show had to offer.  Before the presentations she said that Village Shows, like the Old Basing one, where an important part of building communities.

I was there to take some pictures for Basinga Extra, but both myself and my wife Carol were first time competitors also.  I took some 70 photo's and will publish them in our picture archive later this week.
