Spar Celebrate 50 years

This year SPAR supermarkets is celebrating 50 years in the community.  The Linden Market in Linden Avenue is held a Party all day on Sunday 2nd September.  Tony Tuck was there on had to take some pictures.

Here we have proprietors Bob Pyle and Mary Salmon, with Bobs wife Linda and assistant Tom Murphy.  Click on the picture for a larger view.

Linda said that it was a great success and was pleased to see the customers coming along to help them celebrate.  There was a good village atmosphere.

The Linden Market itself was opened  44 years ago and run for many years by Bob and Mary's parents Charlie and Amy Pyle.
