From Peter Bloyce (SOLVE)
Old Basing
Despite our best efforts so far, BAS102, BAS103 and BAS121 remain in the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA). These sites are under threat of 9,000 houses being built with the accompanying devastation to our local wildlife and habitat. (For a sense of scale there are approximately 3,200 dwellings in Old Basing & Lychpit combined.)

Our best hope at this time, to protect our river valley, is to get these sites removed. You have until 21st June to comment on the suitability of any development.
WHAT MIGHT THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
We cannot win this battle on ideas alone. It will be won by 'PEOPLE POWER' and residents becoming a 'squeaky wheel' that the Council, Planners and Councillors CANNOT IGNORE. It will be won by letter writing, leaflet delivery, protests, posters, press releases and coverage, advice from consultations, presentations and representation at council meetings etc. SOLVE will only be successful if hundreds of people get personally involved.

homes on our doorstep!
