RBL Band Needs New Members

JOIN THE FUN – JOIN THE BAND

When it’s a big event the band starts to play and Old Basing Royal British Legion Band has been a focal point of many local community events for more than 20 years.  Now the band is on the lookout for new members to help it to continue to support events across the South for years to come.

Russ Jordon from the band said: “We are looking for both experienced musicians and those who want to learn. The band is all about having fun and enjoying yourself and the music is what brings us all together.”

The band is looking for drummers, brass and woodwind players of any age. If you don’t currently play, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are a great substitute for experience.   It is also something that the whole family can do together, and there are a number of families that help to make up the band with youngsters from 10 years old taking part.

Old Basing Band is a military style band that plays events across the South from carnivals to military parades. The band has undertaken international tours in France and Belgium in recent years.
