The
photographs on this page show Tony Tuck from Old Basing with Vin
Thayanukklvat, Sales Director of Merlin Chemicals, in a training session for
Neighbourhood Watch Committee at the Basingstoke and Dean Council Offices.
Police officers and Neighbourhood Watch coordinators are invited to be
trained for safe use of graffiti removal kits, to assist the cleaning off of
graffiti in our villages and towns. Old Basing is one of the first
area's in the borough to receive such kits and for the training for safe use
of the special materials.
Neighbourhood Watch is about more than just having a "You are entering a Neighbourhood Watch Area" sign pinned to a telegraph pole in your street. It is about caring for the community. The scheme is always looking for new members.
