August Bank Holiday weekend was one of the most successful in Old Basing Cricket clubs history. Both our Saturday league teams won promotion in their respective divisions.  The icing on the cake happened on Sunday August 26th  when at Mays Bounty Old Basing beat Hook and Newnham Basics in a very exciting close fought Guy Jewel Cup Final. Old Basing have not won the cup since 1998.
