Bolton Arms Poppy Appeal

The Bolton Arms has a tradition of raising money through the year for charity in their famous "Bottle on the bar".  This year it has been decided that the charity will be the British Legion Poppy Appeal.  The presentation took place on Wednesday 19th December.

When counted the cash in the bottle amounted to £819.35 and a cheque for this amount was presented to Mr John Down who is the Poppy Appeal Manager at the Old Basing Branch.

Mr and Mrs Down, on the left, are presented with a large cheque by Bill and Helen (landlord and landlady) and some of the regulars.
