A local cricket club, the 'Bolton NOMADS' sadly managed to loose against 'Old Basing Cricket Club' in a well attended match Tuesday 29th July  08.   The Match started at 6pm and ran through until 9pm and consisted of 18 overs a side.

The 'Bolton NOMADS' are a pub team but are currently without a pub!    The Bolton Arms, is currently under new management and has been closed for renovation.  The planned re-opening is in August.  

"We managed to fight a good fight against Old Basing Cricket Club", said Captain Michael Nethercott from Chineham.   "'Our cricket Team's are delighted, we have new management to support the activities, such as Cricket in the village again!   The NOMAD team, totally support both The Bolton Arms and Old Basing Cricket Club."
