BASINGSTOKE AND DISTRICT DOG TRAINING CLUB

Oakridge Community Hall for All – Monday Evenings

We’ve had a great Autumn. We ran our usual Good Citizens Tests, which aim to provide happy, trained dogs that are enjoyed by responsible owners and the community at large. Our last Club Night before Xmas is Monday 7 December and we start again on Monday 4 January. Our new Beginners Course starts on Monday 11 January.

We’ve organised a Club outing to Discover Dogs which takes place at Earls Court on the weekend of the 14 & 15 November – it’s a great day out. We’re also celebrating the successes of a number of our Club members who have done very well this year in Agility, Obedience Competitions and progressing with tricky dogs within the Club…you know who you are!!

Our Xmas Charity this year is Many Tears Animal Rescue Any contributions of dry or tinned dog food, collars, leads, toys, bedding etc would be gratefully received. Please drop these off from 6.30pm – 830pm on 7 December at Reception. If you’d like to know more about them please go to http://manytearsrescue.webs.com

We’re running our usual wide range of events next year including a specialist Clicker Training Workshop, our usual Good Citizens Tests, The Hampshire Rally on Bank Holiday Monday, 3 May (a friendly inter dog club obedience competition for charity) and our Open Obedience Dog Show on Saturday 5 June.

Puppy and Beginners classes, training for the Kennel Club’s Good Citizens schemes and Competitive Obedience Training continue as usual. We can also help with any problems you may be encountering with your dog. We are a non-profit making organisation run by volunteers and keep costs as low as possible. None of our trainers are paid for the time they give and we are the only Kennel Club registered dog club in town. We run on Monday nights from 6.45pm to 10.30pm (class dependent). If you have any queries or would like any more information please contact Debbie Steadman, on 01256 331495, email her at deb.steadman@tiscali.co.uk
