Voluntary Service Award

We would like to offer congratulations to Beryl Viner on  being awarded the parishioner of the year award for her voluntary work.

Mrs Viner together with her late husband Graham has been heavily involved in the Old Basing Carnival since 1971 and, since the sad loss of Graham, Beryl has carried on as chairwoman and helped this event be such a successful part of Old Basing and Lychpit culture. Beryl has also been involved with the guiding movement since 1969. Although retired as a leader she still helps mentoring new guide leaders.

We all know Mrs Viner as the lollypop lady at five ways as well.
