Whitewater C 0f E Primary School will be celebrating
it’s 300th Birthday in 2012.

Whitewater Primary School, incorporating Heckfield School and Rotherwick School, will be 300 years old on 7th January 2012. In 1712 Frederick Tylney set up a school in Rotherwick for 20 scholars. In the 1980’s Heckfield Primary School and Rotherwick County Primary merged to become Whitewater C of E Primary School. We are currently looking for any past pupils, staff or community members who would like to be part of the celebrations.

Over the forthcoming year, the pupils of the school will be discovering how life has changed over the past 300 years and are keen to involve former pupils in this process. The pupils and teachers will be working hard to create an ‘interactive museum’ for the past and present school community to come and view. We are also currently looking for any old photos, copies of documents or reports that are associated with the school so that we can gain as much history and insight into the school as possible.

Many people have been (and still are!) planning and working hard to bring together the community of the school to celebrate. Some amazing events are currently planned and we wanted to share these with you;

Many of these events are open to previous pupils, teachers, governors and school community members both past and present.

If you, or somebody you know, were or are involved with the schools in any way, and to gain further details about any of the events, please send an e-mail to whitewaterschool300@yahoo.co.uk or join our Facebook page Whitewater School, Rotherwick, Hants. 300th Anniversary 2012.  Alternatively please call the school office on 01256 762637.

Please spread the word far and wide- the more people that can get involved the better! We really would love to hear from you!!
