From Tammy Lake – Women’s Section Old Basing Royal British Legion
Betty was our Old Basing Women’s Section President for many years and, being ex-services herself, always showed a keen interest in our activities and supported our fund-raising events – but more than that she was a friend to us all.
People like Betty are rare. I know she will be missed by many and she was respected by all who knew her. We, the members of the Royal British Legion Women’s Section, are proud to say Betty Holmes was once our President.
